Course Description

Join the Building Enclosure Council and guest presenter Ralph Jewell of Integrated Roofing Systems, Inc. for our monthly webinar,  "Designing Hurricane Resistant Roofs Through Air Barrier Technology". With the increasing frequency and severity of hurricanes and other adverse weather events, it is more important than ever to carefully consider the design of enclosure systems. Roof assemblies have historically borne the brunt of storm events, but advancements in the design and detailing of roofing systems are leading the industry to reevaluate how these systems can respond to extreme conditions.

Ralph Jewell is the founder and Vice President of Integrated Roofing Systems, Inc. (IRSI), located in Apopka, Florida, since its inception May 2000. Ralph is a University of Central Florida Graduate and holds a BSBA Degree in Marketing. He has been involved in the roofing industry since 1988 and specializes in commercial roofing. His involvement includes distribution, manufacturing design, and detailing of single-ply, modified bitumen, liquid applied waterproofing and metal roofing. IRSI owns the trademark label CAT 5 Roof Design and has been a member of CSI, AIA and RCI for approximately 19 years.
